A partnership between Kingdom Games and the Christian Vachon Foundation!
NEWPORT, VERMONT and MAGOG, QUEBEC
Messrs. Phil White, founder of the Kingdom Games, and Christian Vachon, founder of the Christian Vachon Foundation, announce a partnership with the aim of raising money for the Christian Vachon Foundation. Kingdom Games annually organizes more than 40 days of running, biking, swimming, kayaking, triathlons and skating in the greater Newport area of Vermont and in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. In support of the Christian Vachon Foundation, 20% of Canadian adult registration fees for the Kingdom Games will be donated to the Christian Vachon Foundation.
On May 17, 2014, the Dandelion race will be held in Derby, Vermont, which Christian Vachon won in the last two editions. The Dandelion race is a 21.1 kilometer race plus 10 kilometer races and a team relay. The route crosses the dandelion fields of Morgan Holland and Derby with musicians at each relay point. Registration is open online at www.dandelionrun.org . For a complete list of Kingdom Games activities, visit www.kingdomgames.com .
Phil White explains that the partnership between the two organizations stems from the help that he offered to the organizers of the Relais du lac Memphrémagog regarding the passage through American customs, the improvement of the checkpoint located in Newport and the use of the bike path between Newport and Derby in Vermont. “The number of Canadian participants is constantly increasing in Kingdom Games activities, it became obvious to me to give back to our Canadian friends part of the amounts raised during the activities. Our two organizations aim to promote the school perseverance of young people in our communities, so the partnership became logical,” says Mr. White.
“We appreciate Mr. Phil White's unfailing support and acknowledge his friendship with the Christian Vachon Foundation. Mr. White has organized and continues to organize events for which athletes from all over the world participate. He has been incredibly helpful with many aspects of the relay in the past and we encourage participants of the Relais du Lac Memphrémagog to sign up for the various Kingdom Games activities,” indicates for his part Christian Vachon.
